Enjoying lobster at Nikos Taverna

 



 

 








If you travel with boat from Samos or Lipsi towards Patmos you will eventually pass between the Islands of Ikaria and Fourni. Jump off the Dolphin and discover the beauty of Fourni for yourself.  Being blessed with good fisheries and lobsters just waiting for you,  enter into the traditionel taverna of Nikos at the harbour. He and his family will be pleased to help you select the most delicious lobster you can find! And enjoy it with fresh greek salad,  lemon and some cool  wine in the sunset!

To get there, take one of the Dolphins from Phytagoria in Samos or Patmos.  And after a while, the landscape opens up as  you enter the harbour from the west.

And to find accomodation's - your host is for sure waiting at the pier, even if you don't know him yet!

It's difficult to pick out our personal tavern in Fourni. If you like to sit in the harbour enjoying the sunset you should visit one of the seaside tavernas and pick you favourite lobster for the gourmet evening meal!  

And when the sunny,  warm evening is due - just enjoy the Greek  hospitality.

The island is a pearl if you enjoy walking and finding remote beaches. When you start your trip uphill  from the harbour you cannot miss the little church at the ridge above the seas.  
Around the Island you will find some nice spots for privacy.  But in general,  you should bring with you some food and not to forget, water for your trip.  Only 20 minutes walk south of  the town a small beautiful beach and some tavernas are waiting for you! 
Making a couple of hour's walkaround will show you the beauty of this part of the Aegan sea!
